The advertised cost of laser eye surgery can be very confusing and sometimes simply misleading. At Sheffield Vision Centre, we take a transparent and simple approach to pricing - regardless of your prescription.
At Sheffield Vision Centre we will give you an all-inclusive fee which covers the whole treatment and aftercare, with no surcharges for extra investigations or refinements in treatment.. Easy payment plans that spread the cost of treatment are also available.
When making comparisons between clinics that offer refractive eye surgery it is important to compare like with like.
There are a number of factors affecting price that most prospective laser eye surgery patients aren't aware of until they attend their consultation, such as:
Wavefront analysis - Our prices include both wavefront analysis and wavefront treatment. There is no additional cost for wavefront analysis or treatment, if required.
All aftercare - Approximately one in twenty patients who have had refractive surgery may require a second enhancement procedure to maximise the results. At Sheffield Vision Centre there is no extra charge if an enhancement procedure is required, or for post-operative medications, supplementary eye drops or post-operative appointments
Access to your surgeon - At Sheffield Vision Centre you will meet and be able to discuss your treatment options with a dedicated surgeon before you make a decision and commit to any treatment. Free surgery screening appointment
A free screening assessment is a quick and easy way to determine your suitability for lens or laser refractive surgery. It is a convenient way to gather more information from our support team. Your results will be reviewed by our experts, and you will then be offered an appointment for a free and fuller surgical assessment with a consultant surgeon.
A surgical assessment is a more in-depth examination, you will require eye drops and so should plan not to drive after this appointment. You will need to leave soft contact lenses out for a week, and rigid contact lenses out for a month, before you attend this appointment. You will be examined by a Consultant Surgeon, and you will be able to discuss your requirements face to face with that surgeon before you make a decision and commit to any treatment. You will be with us for 1.5-2.5 hours.
If you would prefer to have a full surgical assessment, and avoid the screening appointment, a fee is chargeable.
