Assessment and management of dysphagia in adults
Build confidence in dysphagia practice through a highly interactive, small-group learning experience. This intensive five-day course combines expert teaching, practical workshops, live demonstrations and case-based discussions to support clinicians in developing the knowledge and skills required for competent, comprehensive dysphagia assessment and management. Learning alongside a multidisciplinary group of peers, participants benefit from shared problem-solving, personalised support and real-world clinical application.
Successful completion of the course enables learners to achieve the clinical competencies required for Proficient level of the RCSLT Speech and language therapist eating, drinking and swallowing competency framework or level 5 on the Eating, Drinking and Swallowing (EDS) Competency Framework for non SLTs, providing a recognised pathway towards independent practice and enhanced patient care.
