Assessment and Rehabilitation Therapy Team (ARTT)
The ART-Team provides a city-wide service and conducts a range of holistic assessment and slow-stream rehabilitation interventions for people with long term conditions. ARTT functions on a hybrid rehabilitation model which combines home visiting and the use of an outpatient gym and therapy room at Nether Edge Outpatient Clinic, Nether Edge Hospital, Lyndhurst Road.
ARTT specialises in supporting people with Parkinson’s but also provides rehabilitation for people who have other long-term conditions. The team aims to improve/maintain a person’s ability to carry out normal daily activities as independently as possible.
Rehabilitation is provided by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, therapy assistants and speech and language therapists dependent upon the person’s goals.

Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30
(Excluding Bank Holidays)
Referral Criteria
- People with Parkinson’s
- People with long term conditions
- Patients must have the potential for rehabilitation.
- Patients must have the cognitive ability to follow a programme of rehabilitation.
Referral Process
Referrals can be made by any Health or Social Care professional by:
