Fluoroscopy
The Fluoroscopy Department provides many different examinations. Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique that uses x-rays to obtain real-time moving images of internal organs or joints.
Fluoroscopy may be used alone, as a diagnostic procedure, or with other diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. It may be done as part of an examination either on an Outpatient or In-patient basis.
The Fluoroscopy service is located at both the Northern General Hospital and Royal Hallamshire Hospital and we offer a full range of procedures including gastrointestinal (GI), Musculoskeletal (MSK), Urology, Gynaecological, Hepatobiliary and interventional fluoroscopy.
