Renal Assessment Unit (RAU)
Who are we?
We are group of renal specialists and help patients who have urgent problems with their kidney disease.
When will you meet us?
You may be asked to come to us at any time during your treatment for kidney disease.
How might we be able to help you?
• We give urgent advice if you are feeling unwell and not sure who you should contact for help
• Assess your condition if you have an urgent or new problem with your kidney disease
• We Carry out tests or treatments which have been recommended by your renal doctor or nurse
How can you contact us?
You must contact us before coming to RAU.
We are based in Sorby Renal Outpatients at the Northern General Hospital.
We are open Monday-Thursday 8.30am to 4.00pm and on Friday from 08:30-15:30. You must telephone 0114 271 5320 for an appointment.
