Bariatric Surgery Service
The Sheffield Bariatric Surgery Service is one of the largest and most experienced in the United Kingdom. This well-established service is based at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, and provides patients from South Yorkshire and surrounding areas with specialist care.
A multi-disciplinary team of consultant surgeons, a specialist nurse, dietitians and psychologists work closely with weight management services in the community to ensure that patients are equipped with the essential information needed to be fully prepared before their operations. The team provides comprehensive medical, dietary, lifestyle and psychological support both pre- and post-surgery to ensure that patients have safe and successful weight loss.
