Community Dietetics

What do we do?

Sheffield Community Dietitians aim to promote and support optimum health and well-being through diet and nutrition. We work to empower individuals to improve their nutrition and enable them to understand the links between nutrition and health

Dietitians provide 1:1 clinic sessions at various locations around the city. We also run education groups for patients.

A key part of our role is the education and support of Health Professionals and others involved in giving dietary messages. We provide training, advice and information on clinical and public health nutrition and are always pleased to answer any queries. We will often have student dietitians in our clinics.

We work within strict clinical and ethical guidelines and all Dietitians are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Who can access our service?

We see children and adults, your GP or Practice Nurse can refer you if you have a dietary problem that meets our referral criteria. We are not able to accept self-referrals from patients at the
