Biomechanics/Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinics
Biomechanics may be considered as the science that studies the external forces acting on the human body and the effects produced by these forces. What we practice in Podiatry is Podiatric Biomechanics which is the Integration of Biomechanical Principles with an Understanding of Musculoskeletal Medicine; we then use this approach to treat patients with Musculoskeletal conditions.
Some of the Lower Limb Musculoskeletal conditions we can treat with this approach include:
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Achilles tendinopathy
- Shin Splints
- Anterior Knee pain
- Arch Pain
- Metatarsalgia
- Flat feet
A special service is now available for people with Musculoskeletal conditions. If you have a foot problem that you think may benefit from this treatment you will need to speak to your GP for further details and a referral.
