Anatomy of the eye
What is a Cataract?
A cataract is a cloudy area that forms in the lens of your eye, which can make your vision blurry, dim, or less colourful. It is a common condition, especially as people age, and it can interfere with daily activities like reading or driving.
How Does Cataract Surgery Work?
Cataract surgery is a straightforward procedure to restore clear vision. During the surgery, the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). The procedure is usually done under local anesthesia, is painless, and takes about 30-45 minutes.
