Celebrating Our Healthcare Scientists

This week (13 -19 March), we will be celebrating Healthcare Science Week and saying a huge thank you for the outstanding work and care our healthcare scientists provide to our patients.

Come and meet our healthcare scientists:
Our healthcare science teams are holding stalls at both the Northern General Hospital and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital during the week

  • Huntsman Dining Room, Northern General Hospital (Monday 11-Thursday 14 March)
  • D Floor Dining Room, Royal Hallamshire Hospital (Wednesday 13 March, 10am-3pm).
  • A team of healthcare scientists will also have an outreach stall at Graves Health Centre on Thursday 14 March, 10am-3pm)

An integral part of patient care

At Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, we have a hundreds of different healthcare scientists working across a variety of different specialisms who play a vital role in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of our patients, each making a massive difference in the care we provide.

Across the NHS over 55,000 staff working across 50+ healthcare science specialisms, which underpin over a billion diagnostic investigations and treatment interventions a year accounting for 80% of NHS diagnostics tests. ‚Äč
