Essential maintenance and improvement works on B Road at Royal Hallamshire Hospital continue

B Road, which serves the main entrance of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, will remain closed to vehicles while essential works to resurface and weather-proof the road and improve the area around the main entrance continue.

From Tuesday 3 May, pedestrian access to the main entrance will change to the eastern (Claremont Crescent) end of B Road. Access from the western (Beech Hill Road) end will be for the day case unit only. Signage will be in place on site to direct pedestrians.

Alternatively, pedestrians can access the hospital via the Outpatients Main Entrance on A Road.

A drop-off point for people arriving at hospital by car is also on A Road by the Outpatients Main Entrance. If you are being dropped off by car, please use this drop off point to help avoid congestion.

Public bike racks will also be located onto A Road by 6 May.

The multi-storey car park remains open with disabled parking available on the ground floor. Disabled parking is free for blue badge holders. Please make sure your badge is clearly displayed in your vehicle.

The work will continue beyond the original scheduled completion date and we apologise for any inconvenience this causes and thank patients and visitors for their ongoing patience and cooperation.
