Newest Sheffield walk-in COVID-19 pop up vaccine clinic opens at Nunnery Square

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be opening another COVID-19 walk-in vaccination clinic at Nunnery Square Park and Ride this week and next week as part of the big push to enable everyone to get their COVID-19 vaccine before the end of December.

With easy access to the tram and car parking available, the pop-up clinic will help make it as easy as possible for people in Sheffield to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Open 8am to 3:30pm from Wednesday 22nd to Friday 24th December this week and Wednesday 29th to Friday 31st December next week, people can attend the walk-in service without needing to make an appointment. The clinic will be providing first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine to anyone aged 16 and over, as well as booster vaccines to those eligible. To have a booster you need to be aged 18 or over and be 3 months since your second COVID vaccination.

Professor Chris Morley, Chief Nurse at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“We’ve had an incredible response from staff and volunteers across the NHS who are pulling out all the stops to ensure there are as many opportunities as possible for people to get their 1st, 2nd or booster vaccine. The opening of the new vaccination clinic at Nunnery Square will provide another opportunity for people to walk in and get vaccinated within minutes. We know that in Sheffield we’re currently two weeks behind London in terms of the spread of COVID-19, so we have a very small window of opportunity to get as many people as possible jabbed. Even if you are just getting your 1st COVID-19 vaccine, some protection is better than nothing at all, so please pop along and get protected as soon as possible.”

The pop-up walk-in vaccination clinic is located at Nunnery Square Park and Ride, Sheffield Parkway, S2 5DH.
