Quality Mark for staff training

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals has been awarded the National Skills Academy for Health (NSAH) Quality Mark, in recognition of the high standard of training provision on offer to staff.

The Quality Mark is an independent, sector specific quality assurance audit, providing a framework that defines and endorses superior learning and education.

The award was achieved following a thorough assessment and site visit, with work led by the Learning and Development Department. The four areas of quality measured for the award were Ethics and Values, Health Sector Engagement, Learning Excellence and Effectiveness of Quality Assurance.

Learning and Development Manager Brian Burke said: “We have learned a lot from this process, and the achievement of the Quality Mark is a celebration of the efforts of everybody involved. We’d like to thank the department staff for their hard work, dedication and commitment to quality.”

NSAH also coordinate a network of Excellence Centres, with STH being the host organisation for the South Yorkshire Regional Excellence Centre (SYREC).
