Volunteers wanted for endometriosis study

Women who have been diagnosed with endometriosis are being invited to take part in a clinical trial investigating a non-hormonal treatment for endometriosis.

The ACERS study has now opened at Jessop Wing, and is looking to see if a non-hormonal investigational drug taken alone or with progesterone (called desogestrel) can help reduce the severity of endometriosis.

You may be able to take part if:

  • You are female and aged between 18 and 49.
  • Have a diagnosis of endometriosis (confirmed during laparoscopic surgery).
  • Are willing to have laparoscopic surgery after study treatment.
  • Other requirements also apply

To find out more about the ACERS study, please visit the link below and discuss with your gynaecologist/GP to see if you might be eligible. https://trials.chugai.eu/
