Sheffield Teaching Hospitals has been named as one of the top places to work in the NHS by the Health Service Journal.
The Trust was selected as one of the top 40 acute trusts to work for in the HSJ’s Best Places to Work Awards, which named the best 120 NHS organisations in the country.
The list is a celebration of NHS organisations that have worked hard to promote great staff engagement and create an environment where people can enjoy their work.
Using data from the NHS Staff Survey, independent research firm Best Companies Group identified 120 top performing NHS organisations. It identified seven core areas: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communication, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, employee engagement and satisfaction.
The Chief Executive of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Sir Andrew Cash, said: “I am proud to know that feedback from our staff has led to us being shortlisted and receiving this great recognition.
“We have many schemes we are undertaking to further improve our organisation and build on our reputation as a great place to work, and I am looking forward to working with all our staff on this.”
