Sheffield DJ's raise cash for Jessop Wing

Local DJs are holding an event to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Jessop Wing Hospital on August 22nd.

The family event at the Arbourthorne Pub will include a barbeque, bouncy castle, fire engine, graffiti artists, fun rides and a tug of war - all to the beats of Hiphop, R&B, Bassline and Funky House.

All the money raised from the event's £1 entry fee will go to Sheffield Teaching Hospital's Jessop Wing to help the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit continue to provide top levels of care for babies in our region.

The event's organiser and bassline DJ, Terrence Campbell (also known as Mister X) said: "We organised the event to say a big thank you to the Jessop Wing as members of our families have received great care at the Unit. The event is going to be big and everyone should expect to have a great day."

The event's line up includes: Bassline DJ's - Mister X, Mala P and Scott Rodgers, Funky House DJ - SDot P, Hip Hop and R&B DJ's - Desert Eagle, J Rugged and Phil Laurence as well as other special guests.

Caroline Nicholson, Sister Charge Nurse in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Jessop Wing, will accept the cheque on behalf of the Unit. She said: "We would like to thank all the DJs for their hard work in organising this event. Their efforts really are appreciated by everyone here at the hospital. Donations such as these ensure that we can continue to provide excellent care and support for our patients."

The event will run from 1pm to 6pm - everyone is welcome.
