Give Art a Go!

The message from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals this summer is ‘Give Art A Go!’ And you don’t need to be Picasso to join in.

Held at the Millennium Galleries on Saturday 15th August 10.30am – 3.30pm this unique Zest Arts in Health Project event is expected to bring in creative willing crowds of all ages. Joining forces with Museum Sheffield who have kindly offered the venue at no cost, this fantastic, free fundraising day will provide much fun for families and friends.

Activities on the day include art workshops, music and dance performances, face painting and juggling. There will also be a collection of exclusive artwork on display such as a framed and signed limited edition print by Joe Scarborough.

Work on show will be available to buy and money raised from sales will be donated directly back to the hospital. There will also be a raffle with prizes including tickets to a cricket match between Essex and Headingly Carnegie, tickets to Disney on Ice at the Arena and a 1 night stay for 2 people at the Rutland Hotel in Sheffield.

Kerry Blackett, Arts Coordinator at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals said:

"This will indeed be a unique Art event to not only raise money for Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust, but raise awareness and support for Zest Arts in Health and bring community projects together to celebrate Art and all its benefits."
