I have been a consultant in Sheffield since 2012 when I was appointed to introduce Neurosurgical capability to the Major Trauma Centre at the Northern General Hospital. As well as an interest in Trauma and Head Injury I am a neurovascular surgeon operating on patients with aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVM’s) in the brain. I also look after patients who have suffered subarachnoid haemorrhage.

Spinal surgery for degenerative conditions and slipped discs in the neck and lower back forms a large part of my surgical practice and I specialise in minimally invasive decompression of spinal nerves.
