In the dialysis workstream, we have established dialysis fistula prevalence reporting from all six units with the help of KQIP and have been working with NHSE to examine the growth in demand for haemodialysis. We’ve also started exploring the availability of dialysis away from base and are working to promote shared dialysis care across the region too. In 2024, we plan to explore workforce issues more closely across dialysis services and commence projects which will aim to ensure more equitable approaches regarding transitions to adult services for children and young people are established.
