The Sheffield Haemophilia & Thrombosis Centre is a Comprehensive Care Centre providing a range of services for adults and families living with inherited and acquired bleeding disorders such as, Haemophilia, Von Willebrand Disease, rare coagulation factor deficiencies and platelet disorders. The service is based on P floor at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
It is also a designated service for Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP). In addition, you might be seen within the centre because you have a condition called Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) or other haemostasis disorder which might increase your risk of bleeding or having a blood clot.
The service provides clinics for the investigation, diagnosis and management of the above conditions, including joint clinics with obstetricians, gynaecologists and orthopaedic surgeons; and delivers:
