The kidney transplant workstream is focused on providing equity of access to kidney transplantation and following the KQIP project across the region looking at pre-emptive transplant rates and embedding this practice into usual business, the workstream aims to look at areas of variation in practise that could be harmonised. Our first specific project focusses cardiovascular workup for kidney transplantation, and we hope to standardise this area in early 2024. Furthermore, workforce analysis across the wide multi-disciplinary team is also taking place to enable Network support to be provided where workforce can be demonstrated to be a relevant provision for patient care in kidney transplantation.
