In order to ensure the most efficient access to Level 3b – consultant led orthodontic care it is important that patients are referred to their most local and appropriate orthodontic service provider. Charles Clifford Dental Hospital provides a teaching environment for undergraduate and postgraduate dental students, hygiene and therapy students as well as trainee dental nurses. All treatment is carried out to a high standard under the supervision of a qualified and experienced specialist orthodontist.
Our orthodontic specialist trainees have won the prestigious William Houston Gold Medal at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1997, 2003, 2019, 2023.
The Orthodontic Department is located on Level 1 in Charles Clifford Dental Hospital.
The majority of treatment with a small number of side surgeries available.
Depending on the needs of the patient and their locality assessment and treatment may be provided in our outreach clinic in Wheata Place Dental Clinic in Parson Cross.
Our reception is open Monday to Friday between 08:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Please note, while we aim to see you promptly, at times of high demand and due to the nature of the emergency clinic waiting times for this service may be up to an hour.
