Sheffield Hospitals Charity funds projects that make life better for patients being treated for almost every type of condition in the Northern General, Royal Hallamshire, Weston Park, Jessop Wing and Charles Clifford Dental hospitals.

Our funds help to improve the care and treatment of thousands of local people by investing over £2 million a year in vital equipment, pioneering research, patient support, buildings and people.
A proportion of our funds are used to support these areas of the South Yorkshire Cardiothoracic Centre and to save lives across our region.

If you would like to find out more about our work and how you can support the charity visit our website at www.sheffieldhospitalscharity.org.uk, call 0114 226 7351 or email charity@shct.nhs.uk

You could also join the Sheffield Hospitals Lottery for as little as £1 per week and help us make life better for local patients with a heart or lung condition, whilst being in with a chance to win up to £25,000 every week. Click here to sign up.”

Additional Information

Where your money goes

The Charity’s funds are used where they will deliver the greatest benefits. Recent examples include the funding of a specialist nurse in the Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service who works with families to help detect life threatening disorders early and ensure they receive the right treatment and support.

Two portable echocardiogram machines were also funded for the Centre. The machines can be easily moved to where patients are located, enabling clinicians to quickly undertake an ultrasound scan of the heart in an emergency situation.

With your support we can do more to help patients.
