By public transport

The hospital is about a 25 minute walk from the city centre and is served by several bus routes. Details of these bus routes and other public transport options can be found here.

The guide is available from Travel South Yorkshire also obtained by calling Traveline on 01709 515151.

Coming by tram

Supertram can be used to reach Weston Park Hospital, although please be aware that there is still a 10-15 minute uphill walk from the nearest stop (University). We would recommend that anyone who experiences difficulty walking long distances choose some alternative means of travelling to hospital.

By car

The hospital is on Whitham Road. If you are using SatNav the postcode for the hospital is S10 2SJ.

Please be aware that Parking Charge Notices are in operation within the hospital grounds. This is to ensure that ambulances and other emergency services have free access to the hospital at all times. To avoid being issued with a Parking Charge Notice please make sure that your car is parked in a designated parking space.

A car park payment system is in operation now in the Weston Park Hospital car park. Some patients may be eligible for free or concessionary parking.

Please see the Car Parking page for further details

Parking is limited, so we recommend using public transport if at all possible.

By ambulance or medicar

If you feel that you need an ambulance or Medicar to get
to hospital please telephone the number on your appointment letter and speak to a member of staff.

Please note that this service is not available to all patients, only to those with a medical need.

Help with your fares

If you are entitled to certain social security benefits you may be able to get help with your train or bus fares to the hospital. To do this you should contact your local Department of Social Security.

Further information and advice is also available from the hospital cashiers on 0114 271 2060.
