Women attending surgical breast clinic have all imaging on the same day in the vast majority of cases. We offer ultrasound and x-ray guided core biopsy facilities, a prone table biopsy service and two types of vacuum assisted core biopsy to provide quality histology samples for diagnosis.

The service is provided by a team of consultant radiologists, advanced practitioners and radiographers. The breast imaging team works very closely with the surgical breast clinic, pathology, and the breast care nursing team, to provide an expert multi-disciplinary approach
