Hospital Broadcasting Sheffield

The Hospital Radio is a registered charity, and has been entertaining patients in Sheffield’s hospitals since 1976.

We are completely volunteer run, and we broadcast to all patients in the Trusts hospitals - for free - on the bedside entertainment system. We can additionally be heard at the Northern General Hospital on 1431AM.

We broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and have live request shows most days. Patients can request tunes by using their bedside system telephone and dialling *800

We are always open to new volunteers, be it request collecting, fundraising, mending our equipment, or even presenting a show On-Air.
