Sheffield Hospitals Charity
Who we are
Sheffield Hospitals Charity helps to improve the care and treatment of thousands of local people by investing over £2 million a year in vital equipment, pioneering research, patient support, buildings and people.
The NHS funds patient care, we work hard to enhance it. We achieve this by funding projects that make life better for patients being treated for almost every type of condition in the Northern General, Royal Hallamshire, Weston Park, Jessop Wing and Charles Clifford Dental hospitals.
How we help patients
Our funds have helped patients in many different ways, some examples include:
- A £1 million investment in a state-of-the-art ward to cater for the clinical needs of Cystic Fibrosis patients and to help them feel more at home when staying in hospital for long periods.
- A specialist nurse to help save lives by detecting and treating serious inherited cardiac conditions.
- An advice service to ensure cancer patients receive the benefits they are entitled to.
- Development of a lounge and kitchen for parents staying overnight when their baby is in intensive care.
How you can make a difference
With your support we can continue to do more to make life better for patients and their family. Every penny is used where it will deliver the greatest benefits. We greatly value any donation, just £3 could provide a soother for a seriously ill baby.
If you would like to make a donation, you can do so via our secure website or by sending a cheque made payable to “Sheffield Hospitals Charity” to Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust, Freepost NAT 15348, Sheffield, S10 3ZZ
