Welcome to the Sexual Health and HIV Clinic Sheffield (GU Medicine)

The department of Sexual Health and HIV (GUMedicine) is situated at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. It is a confidential consultant-led service providing specialist information, advice, counselling, rapid testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.

The service is open-access to young people and adults, so you do not need to see anyone else before you attend. You may also be referred by your GP or somebody else.

Clinic attendance is confidential and is not discussed with anyone else, including your GP, without your consent. Clinic records are kept separate from other hospital and medical records.

Sexual Health Advice

All sessions are open to either sex. There are separate male and female waiting areas. Couples can wait together on request.

To attend clinic you can either book an appointment by calling clinic on (0114) 2766928 or we offer a walk in and wait service on weekday mornings between 9am and 11am.

A limited number of walk-in and wait appointments may be available in the afternoon.
