The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Heart Failure Service aims to provide gold standard investigation and treatment for patients suffering from heart failure.
The service comprises 3 Consultant Cardiologists with a special interest in heart failure working in close collaboration with colleagues in the Diabetes Service, a team of 5 specialist heart failure nurses and a Service Coordinator. We also run nurse specialist heart failure clinics, daily ward rounds at the Northern General Hospital to identify patients admitted with heart failure.
We have two specialist wards for the management of heart failure and we run a weekly MDT meeting to plan patients ongoing care.
The Service can be contacted through a single access point (0114 2266161).
