Home Haemodialysis

Our Service

Patients choosing haemodialysis may be suitable to carry out their haemodialysis treatment in their own home with the help of a carer.

The Home Haemodialysis Team comprises of CN Christopher Thornhill-Lyons, Nurse practitioner Katy Hancock and SN Celia Bryan. The team will provide training and support to allow you to carry out your dialysis safely and confidently to suit your social and medical needs.

The main advantages of Home Haemodialysis are that it offers flexibility in treatment times, days and duration and the option for shorter, more frequent dialysis which has many benefits and is not usually available with hospital-based dialysis.

If you require more information about Home Haemodialysis, the team can be contacted on 0114 2714796
