Photography
Clinical Photographers take photographs and video recordings of patients’ conditions for diagnosis, hospital records, treatment planning, teaching and research. Photography is carried out by professionally trained staff and where possible will take place in the fully equipped studio located within the hospital.
A choice of male or female photographer is usually available on request if the patient has a preference. Photography can also be undertaken on wards, in clinics, on location and in the operating theatre.
All patients are provided with a full explanation of the procedure necessary to obtain the photographs that have been requested, and told what will happen to their images. All work is treated with discretion, confidentiality and sensitivity.
From the Royal Hallamshire site our photographers travel extensively between this base and the surrounding hospitals taking photographs at the Weston Park Cancer Hospital, Jessop Women’s Hospital and also the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital
