Message from Hearing Services department

After carefully reviewing the position in September 2020 in relation to COVID-19 and the national guidance with regard to social distancing, we are still requesting that patients refrain from attending the daily Open Repair sessions at the Hearing Services department, unless absolutely necessary.

A number of face-to face appointments are now being booked, however this is being closely managed to ensure the numbers of patients and staff in the department remains at a safe level throughout the day.

We ask that you arrive no more than 10 minutes before your booked appointment time, wearing a face-mask and alone if at all possible.

We do recognise that the ability to hear during these difficult times, combined with isolation is of paramount importance and are sorry not to be able to offer our patients the usual service. We have taken a number of measures outlined below to ensure that our services are accessible as possible.

A drop of facility is situated at the Entrance 7 Doors – you can leave you hearing aid here with a member of staff who will provide you with an envelope and we will aim to repair your aid within 24 hours and post it back out to you recorded delivery.

Hearing aid batteries for our existing patients are always available by post. Please phone the booking hub on 0114 2261314 or send your hearing aid book/card and we will post batteries to your address.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to get back to normal service as soon as we are able. Thank you for your support at this time.
