Dr Arun Karunakaran:

Trained in India, Dr Karunakaran is Clinical Research Fellow at the CVBRU, looking at anti-platelet therapy and platelet reactivity.

Dr Karunakaran was educated at two Medical Colleges in India, firstly in Bijapur and latterly in Davangere.Since his move to the U.K. Arun has worked at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals before moving to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust in 2008.

Arun works closely with Rose Ecob and the other members of the Platelet group that is headed up by Dr Robert Storey. He is currently working towards his MD within the Medical School at the University of Sheffield.
