Pulmonary Hypertension

Pulmonary Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure within the pulmonary vasculature. The Royal Hallamshire Hospital is home to one of the leading Pulmonary Hypertension centres in the country and the clinical and scientific staff there are deeply involved with the research that the CVBRU is undertaking.

Much of the work involves working with the other major U.K. centres in an attempt to widen knowledge and data collection and therefore create a better and more accurate research environment.
