Patient Involvement

The CVBRU has its own Patient Panel, a group of men and women who have for various reasons become involved with the work of the unit.

The Panel involves patients, relatives, carers and members of the public. Anyone can get involved particularly if themselves or a relative suffer from heart or lung disease.

This group now meet regularly with their main role being to provide a patient voice within the unit. Research proposals are put before them to ensure that studies are feasible and that the protocols involved are suitable and manageable for patients.

This section of the website is designed to let the panel tell you more of the work they are doing. There are introductions to the panel members, information on how to get involved and a schedule of all upcoming meetings. Please use the menu bar on the left to have a look around and get involved.
