Highlights
2011
Richard Eastell was presented with the Iain Macintyre Award for new approaches to the treatment of osteoporosis after giving the opening lecture at the William Harvey Institute’s 25th Anniversary celebrations in July.
The Centre for Biomedical Research is officially opened by Her Royal Highness Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, on 4th May.
2010
Richard Eastell's h-index reaches 59. He now has 34 articles with over 100 citations each.
Nicky Peel receives the British Society for Rheumatology Osteoporosis Award.
2009
In the Sciencewatch rankings for publications, 1999-2009, the University of Sheffield was ranked as number 6 (out of 12,241) for the number of citations in the field of osteoporosis.
Richard Eastell ranked 8th (out of 56,958) for the number of publications produced. http://sciencewatch.com/ana/st/osteo2/
Richard Eastell is the first person in the Medical School and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust to be awarded Senior NIHR Investigator status. There are only 160 such appointments in England to the NIHR College.
