Patient Reported Outcome Measures Scheme

The Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) is a method for collecting information on the clinical quality of care as reported by patients themselves.

Patients who have hip replacements, knee replacements, groin hernia surgery and varicose vein surgery will be invited to complete a PROMs questionnaire before their operation takes place and a follow-up questionnaire is sent to patients by post after an appropriate time interval.
