Sheffield Hospital scientist awarded leadership prize


Diana Jackson, a scientist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals has been awarded a prestigious prize by the Institute of Biomedical Science.

Diana was one of only eight members to be honoured with the prize and was awarded with a Company Members certificate.

Diana said: “I was delighted to receive the Company Members Prize, I have thoroughly enjoyed completing the higher specialist diploma and to receive top marks was a fantastic surprise!”

Diana works in the Andrology Laboratory, overseeing the training of new laboratory technicians, in addition to her other duties of diagnostic semen analysis, post-vasectomy semen analysis and sperm storage for oncology patients.

Ian Sturdgess, President of the Institute of Biomedical Science said: “It gives me great pleasure to award Diana with the Higher Specialist Diploma Company Members Prize in Leadership and Management.”
