Neurocare is a registered charitable fund that receives donations to assist with improving the quality of care for patients attending the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.

Sheffield Skull Base Research Fund

This is a Trust Fund held by Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust set up to provide support for the research of skull base and related disorders. Cheques should be made payable to Sheffield Skull Base Research Fund. Address correspondence to Mr T Carroll, Consultant Neurosurgeon.

Clifford-Robertshaw Trust Fund

This is a Trust Fund held by Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust set up to provide support for the research of malignant brain tumours. Cheques should be made payable to the Clifford-Robertshaw Trust Fund. Address correspondence to Mr D Jellinek, Consultant Neurosurgeon.

Tumour Bank

Patients have the option and opportunity of donating any excess portion of tumour removed at surgery for future research. Storage and subsequent use of such tissue for research is governed by strict regulations. Stored tumour tissue can only be used subsequently for research if such research has received formal Trust and Ethics Committee Approval and if informed consent specific to that research project has been obtained from the patient.
